I have a background rack mounted high on the wall that holds 6 rolls of 9-foot wide paper, but I don’t shoot on paper very often. I prefer the plain wall. You can see the end of the makeup station and part of my sandbag collection in the lower left corner. At the top of the shot is a crossbar where I can hang lights directly above the models from the 13-foot ceiling.

This is the hair and makeup station. It is equipped with a full set of professional curlers, a blow dryer with a removable diffuser, a curling iron, a flat iron, and an assortment of combs and brushes. I’m usually out of hairspray.

Also pictured are the 8-foot ladder and a couple of unused 9-foot wide paper rolls that lean against a corner.

Below is an array of lighting and grip equipment. I use a mix of AlienBees and Profoto monolight flashes. I also have a lot of continuous lighting equipment, not shown.
